[„Frankfurt, February 4, 1895.“
„Dear Johannes,
thank you for the beautiful description of the days at Leipzig […]“ She is glad that the Leipzig audience behaved in a dignified manner. „They had to live down a lot.“ She discusses an evening of chamber music for which Brahms will come to Frankfurt and a dinner party which she would like to give at her house afterwards. „… Baroness Rothschild who can never come to the concerts on Friday on account of the Jewish holiday would also love to come to the rehearsal …“. It makes it difficult to find a suitable place for the rehearsal and to get together after the concert that the „Landgrave“ wants to come from Berlin and that Brahms finds him horrible. „Dear Johannes, help me to solve the problem …!“]
Deine alte Clara.
