Marie did not yet answer your dear letter as I wished to do it myself, but, you know, I am always very bussy, and so I thought very often on your kindness for me, but could not tell it you. Accept now my warmest thanks for your kind remembrance and your sympathie, which I felt in every word, what ever you told me, or wrote me. I am so sorry that you have been suffering so much, |2|but I hope to find you in shorth quite recovered. How very hard it must have been for you to be prevented of fulfilling all the duties of humanity, which, I know, are the happineß of your life.
I send you, and to all your dear family, our warmest wishes for the new year, and beg you will preserve me your sympathie which I enjoy with thankful heart.
