My dear Madam Schumann

We arrived here well but tired at midnight, and this morning I have had a rehearsal already for tonight, besides answering endless letters which I found waiting my return. May I beg you to see that the parts (and the printed copy from which I sang) of Cagnoni’s Cavatina are sent here to me all right and as soon as possible. I enquired for them after supper on Tuesday, 

and the Gentlemen promised to send them to Domhardts in Wednesday 

morning before 8, however they where not come when we left the hotel, therefore I am obliged to trouble you, as I want them in London: On the 1st violin on the score, are marked how many parts there are, besides my printed copy. I shall long remember my pleasant stay among the nightingales in 

sweet Düsseldorf. Pray remember us to Professor Schumann and believe 

me to remain Your Aff n  admirer & friend
